What Giving Back Means To MeSeptember 1, 2017
Your Weekend Adventure Guide To The Big IslandSeptember 15, 2017
If you know me, you know how excited I get for a celebration…wedding, birthday, family trip…you name it, I LOVE it. I believe life should be celebrated, even the smallest moments. I would like to say it started when I was a little girl. Growing up as an only child, I treasured special events and trips with my parents. They sparked the epic Rudman birthday parties (some of you can recall these), the graduation parties, and my excitement to celebrate and shower others with love.
Everyone is unique. We live different lives. Have our own passions. Set our own goals. That is the best part of life, and why I believe YOU deserve be celebrated. Because without the small accomplishments, you wouldn't be able to get where you are and want to be in life. Remember to take time to slow down, and just live. Put down your work for an hour to go out and see the sunset- celebrate nature. Stop washing the dishes and venture out for a walk with a friend or loved one- celebrate family. Write a hand written note to someone you love- celebrate friendship. Throw a party for someone that is in need of it, and just let loose- celebrate laughter. This post is meant to remind you to stop and smell the roses, no matter where you are in your life ;)
Something that my husband and I decided to do when we were dating was eliminate gift giving, and save our money for special events or trips. Again, I am a pretty simple person and don’t have a need for a lot of materialistic things in my life. I will choose traveling, or a fun evening out on the town with my guy any day of the week! I challenge you to try this out, and see if you benefit from it. It is those moments that you can bottle up and treasure for a lifetime. That is incomparable to me!
THANK YOU EVERYONE for the incredible birthday wishes, cards, messages, and love. You make me the luckiest lady in all the land! Two-Seven is looking mighty fine to me. Age is simply a number and you better believe I’m feelin’ 22. Thank you, Taylor. But honestly, one of my favorite parts of my birthday each year is hearing from people. It makes my day to hear from someone who I haven’t talked to in awhile, so if that is you, thanks. I appreciate you more than you know for taking time out of your day to reach out! John and I are spending our weekend on the Big Island adventuring, and getting real friendly with Mother Nature. Many pictures to follow, I promise! I am super excited to see a new island. That is one of Hawaii’s many blessings…amazing yet different islands that make up the place in which we live. Each island has its own personality; I can’t wait to let you know my thoughts.
P.S. When it is your celebration you better believe I am that friend/person that lets everyone know it is all about you. Treasure those moments and remember, you deserve to be celebrated. Not just one day of the year, but every day.
